Te Herenga Waka-Victoria University of Wellington's current second and third-year music students pursuing an undergraduate degree from the New Zealand School of Music (NZSM) are supported by the Fehl Music Scholarship.
Eligibility for Fehl Music Scholarship at Victoria University of Wellington:
- Applicants must be enrolled full-time at NZSM in an undergraduate program.
- Candidates must be enrolled in 200- or 300-level courses.
- Applicants must be citizens or lawful permanent residents of New Zealand.
Application Process:
All eligible candidates must apply online to be considered for the scholarship. The application should include the following components:
- Complete the financial hardship section of the application and provide evidence of financial need.
- A one-page personal statement outlining what music means to you and your aims for a music career.
- Applicants (other than those who have completed all of their studies at NZSM) must include a certified copy of those academic records from other institutions.
- A reference from an academic member of staff at NZSM.
Value of the Scholarship:
The successful applicants are awarded a sum of up to NZD 8,000 subject to fund availability.
