The ADB-Japan Scholarship Program (JSP) offers about 135 graduate scholarships a year for studies in economics, business and management, science and technology, and other development-related fields. The program is open to nationals of an ADB borrowing member country who have gained admission to an approved master’s A course at a designated institution.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The applicant must be a national of an ADB borrowing member country and a Japanese ODA scholarship-eligible country.
- The applicant must not hold dual citizenship in any developing country.
- The applicant must have gained admission to an approved master’s A course at a designated institution.
- Applicants should not be more than 35 years old and must be in good health.
- Applicant must have a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent with superior academic record.
- The applicant should agree to return to his/her home country after completion of studies under the Program to contribute to its development.
Application Process:
- Interested candidates must request information and application forms from the chosen partner institution.
- Candidates must send the documents to the institution.
- Shortlisted candidates' lists are forwarded to ADB, who then selects the candidates.
