Eligibility for University of Auckland Research Masters Scholarship:
- Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of New Zealand.
- Applicants must enroll full-time at the University of Auckland Waipapa Taumata Rau in a master's degree that includes a research component of at least 90 points and can establish eligibility for doctoral study.
- Scholarship may also be available to meritorious students for whom socially compelling reasons make part-time enrollment preferable.
Selection criteria:
The basis of selection will be academic merit as assessed by the grade point average (GPA) calculated over the most recent qualifying program. A GPA of 8.00 or above in the applicant’s most recent qualifying program is required for the award of a Scholarship.
Value of the Scholarship:
The scholarship will comprise a stipend of up to NZD 14,346 per annum, plus compulsory fees, for up to one year. Payments and tenure will be pro-rated for part-time students.
